With over 10 years of teaching experience across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level English Language and Literature, I am passionate about helping every student develop confidence, achieve academic success and discover a genuine appreciation for English.
Every student learns differently, which is why I believe tuition should always be personal. My aim is not simply to improve grades, but to help students become confident readers, thoughtful writers and independent learners who feel fully prepared for their examinations.
A Passion for English and Helping Students Succeed
English has always been more than just a subject to me. It opens doors to creativity, confidence and communication—skills that students carry with them long after they leave the classroom. Helping young people discover those skills is what continues to inspire me every day.
Throughout my teaching career I have worked with students across Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level, supporting learners with a wide range of abilities, aspirations and learning styles. Every student brings different strengths and challenges, which is why I believe no two lessons should ever be the same.
My teaching combines high academic expectations with patience, encouragement and genuine care. Whether a student is aiming for the highest grades, needs additional support to build confidence, or simply wants to enjoy English more, I create lessons that are engaging, structured and tailored to their individual goals.
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a student grow in confidence, overcome challenges and achieve results they never thought possible. Those moments are why I continue to love teaching English after more than a decade in education.

Confidence is often the biggest barrier to success. I create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and developing the skills they need to succeed.

Alongside developing a genuine understanding of English, I teach the techniques and strategies that examiners are looking for, helping students approach assessments with confidence and clarity.
